Backdating a Policy

Last updated on 05 Apr, 2023

To backdate the quoted/written/issued date of a policy, locate the policy in Policy Finder and check the box. Select “Update Policy” at the bottom of the screen and go through the questions to change the date of the stage.

Note: The system will not let you backdate a stage prior to the date of the previous stage. For example, you cannot backdate the Issue date prior to the Written date. In the case where you need to backdate the Issue date prior to the current Written date, you must select “Update Policy", change the stage to Written or Quoted, backdate it, then Save. Select “Update Policy” again, change the stage to Issued, and then you will be able to select the desired date.
